Description: Dive in and explore the East Indian practice of Jaipur block printing using hand carved wooden blocks and an assortment of colorful inks on art papers and fabrics. Students are welcome to bring their own light-colored cotton clothing or fabric to print on.
Materials Included: Wood Printing Blocks, paper, fabrics
Instructor: Kelly Dennís Villalba is a visual artist focused on creating unique sculptural artworks to reimagine the idea of the traditional practices. She also enjoys working with analog collage because of how accessible the materials are. She recently moved to Los Angeles from New Jersey, and has lead art studio workshops independently and for art museum audiences geared towards community members and students aged pre-k-adult.
